Tuberculocidal Activity Test

Creative BioMart Microbe provides customers with tuberculocidal activity test based on standard test methods to help customers test the efficacy of disinfectant products.

Our service will be performed according to AOAC official method 965.12 (Tuberculocidal activity of disinfectants). Each test will be carried out in strict accordance with standard operating procedures. Test Process

• Test culture preparation

Prepare the test culture. Because of the slow growth of M. bovis, incubate at 36°C for 21 days, then the culture was processed to obtain the concentrated culture, and perform standardization to prepare for inoculation.

• Carrier inoculation

Inoculate the sterile carriers with standardized test culture and ensure that the culture completely covers the carriers. After a contact time of 15±1 min, remove the cylinders, then remove excess culture. The carriers are placed in sterile Petri dishes covered with filter paper and dried in an incubator at 36±1°C for 30±2 min.

• Enumeration of bacterial inocula

The inoculated dry carriers were counted before and after the disinfectant efficacy test. Put the inoculated carrier into a broth culture tube, sonicate, dilute and plate for inoculation, culture at 36±1°C for 17-21 days, and count the colonies.

• Disinfectant sample preparation

Prepare the disinfectant sample and water bath to reach the specified temperature.

• Test procedure

Transfer the inoculated dry carriers to the test tube containing disinfectant, and then transfer the carriers to the neutralization tubes after a certain contact time. After neutralizing the effect of the disinfectant, transfer the carriers to the culture tubes. Incubate at 36±1°C for 60 days, then observe and record the culture results. If there is no growth or occasional growth after 60 days, continue incubating for 30 days.

Note: we will also carry out sterility and viability controls to ensure the validity of efficacy test results.
