Microbial Extracts Screening in Drug and Molecule Development

Microbial extracts are metabolites and/or by-products derived from living organisms, such as plants, animals, and microorganisms. As a resource for biologically active substances, microbial extracts have an important role in discovering pharmaceutical leads.

Microbial extracts screening for a lead are roughly classified into two methods. One is to use the crude extract mixture in a primary screening, and after the active principle has been detected, it is purified by activity-guided purification. The other is to use previously purified natural compounds libraries that can expand the screening quality to the same rank as a synthetic compound library. However, previously purified natural compounds library is limited by wide diversity and wide area of chemical space. And it requires thousands of man-hours to construct a library sufficient in number and diversity.

Creative BioMart Microbe has comprehensive screening platform for the identification of potentially novel microbial extracts-based drug leads. Our platform has been used in multiple projects to screen thousands of microbial extracts.

Creative BioMart Microbe will draft a detailed project plan before we start official experiments to ensure the most cost-effective and accurate analysis. We are aiming to provide our clients with the opportunity to create any potential novel drug and molecule. Please feel free to contact us for more information.
