  • Real-time quantitative PCR (qPCR)

    DNA microarray technology uses the principle of base complementary pairing to measure nucleic acids qualitatively or quantitatively. Labeled cDNA from the sample is hybridized with probes of known sequences integrated on the microarray, and rapid detection of genetic information is achieved by detecting the hybridized probes at the corresponding positions. It has the advantages of rapidity, accuracy, high sensitivity as well as high throughput. Gene expression profiling of microorganisms can be achieved by DNA microarray technology.

    Northern blotting is a technique based on molecular hybridization of nucleic acids to detect specific RNA. RNA samples are generally separated by agarose gel electrophoresis and transferred to a solid phase carrier. The hybridization reaction is then performed with a radioactive or non-radiolabeled probe and the hybridization signal is analyzed to complete a qualitative or quantitative analysis of RNA levels.
