Description
Yeast Ogg1 is a DNA glycosylase specific to 8- oxo-guanine in DNA. This glycosylase is associated with an AP lyase. Thus, Ogg1 removes 8-oxo-guanine base followed by DNA strand cleavage by its AP lyase activity.
