Cat.No.
FTSZ-951E
Species
E. coli
Product Name
Recombinant Escherichia coli FTSZ Protein (1-383 aa), His-SUMO-tagged
Product Overview
Recombinant Escherichia coli (strain K12) FTSZ Protein (1-383 aa) is produced by E. coli expression system. This protein is fused with a 6xHis-SUMO tag at the N-terminal. Protein Description: Full Length.
Description
Essential cell division protein that forms a contractile ring structure (Z ring) at the future cell division site. The regulation of the ring assbly controls the timing and the location of cell division. One of the functions of the FtsZ ring is to recruit other cell division proteins to the septum to produce a new cell wall between the dividing cells. Binds GTP and shows GTPase activity.

Storage
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself. Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20 centigrade/-80 centigrade. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20 centigrade/-80 centigrade.
Concentration
A hardcopy of COA with concentration instruction is sent along with the products.
