Saccharomyces cerevisiae
Product Name
Native Yeast 3-Phosphoglyceric Phosphokinase
Product Overview
Native Yeast 3-Phosphoglyceric Phosphokinase was purified from baker""s yeast (S. cerevisiae).
Source
Yeast
Form
ammonium sulfate suspension. Crystalline suspension in 3.0 M (NH4)2SO4 and 0.04 M tetrasodium pyrophosphate solution, pH 8.0
Storage
2-8°C
Bio-activity
≥1000 units/mg
Applications
3-Phosphoglyceric Phosphokinase generates ATP by catalyzing the transfer of a phosphate group from 1,3-diphosphoglycerate to ADP. 3-Phosphoglycerate Phosphokinase is used to study glycolysis and gluconeogenesis. It has also been used to study low molecular weight GTP-binding proteins and mechanisms of inhibition of glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase.
