Mechanism of Action
Bifida ferment filtrate is refined by fermentation of bifidobacteria and is rich in proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, vitamins, minerals and amino acids required for skin renewal. It can specifically support the skin's own protection and repair mechanisms and fight against premature skin aging. The various free amino acids, yeasts, sugars, organic acids and minerals contained in the filtrate promote skin keratin metabolism, repair the skin, and improve the roughness and dullness of the skin. At the same time, the active ingredients in the filtrate can increase the expression of filaggrin and prevent the reduction of filaggrin mediated by serine protein tyrosine. It can also increase the expression of caspase-14 in epidermal keratinocytes in 3D models. Because the expression of caspase-14 involves the formation of damaged skin barrier, the bifida ferment filtrate can improve the barrier function of the skin.
This filtrate is weakly acidic and can enhance the antibacterial effect of sebum outside the stratum corneum, remove dead cells (exfoliation) but will not excessively remove dead skin, and maintain delicate and smooth skin. It can also maintain the moisture content of the stratum corneum, thereby maintaining skin elasticity, making the skin hydrated and white. For oily skin, it controls sebum secretion, regulates the balance of skin oil secretion, and promotes sebum from pores to the skin surface, thereby inhibiting the formation of acne.
